I was born in Lahore, Pakistan December 20th 1991. I was adopted. I stayed in Pakistan for a grand total of 4 months and moved to the United States April 4th 1992.

Me and my new family did a lot of traveling the first few years that I was with them.
We went all over the world.

I am proud to say that I
had my first ice cream in Italy.
I wish I could remember all the cool places we went!
I hope to travel more in the future.

I became a US citizen when I was two years old.
My family is Muslim, as am I. My father is also originally from Pakistan and my Mum is from Michigan.
They are both in the medical field.
I grew up in Evanston, Illinois which is pretty diverse.

Him and me, we both were super lucky and found a happy home to live in :)
I grew up always knowing I was adopted.
No surprises or awkward sit down talks at 13 (or whatever age they sit the child down to tell them they are adopted in the movies) :P

My family and I moved to Wilmette, Illinois in 2001.
A very white, upper class, Jewish, neighborhood/community/village. My parents did this so I would be able to go to the high school there which is supposed to be one of the best.

Wilmette is not a happy place for me.
When i think of my childhood I think of Evanston. Most of my good childhood memories come from back then.
