Tea: A natural, soothing, ancient, and radical beverage. My altar is dedicated to tea, because tea is just that amazing. Whenever I'm stressed, anxious, worried, tea is there to calm my nerves. When I'm joyful, excited, patient, and relaxed, tea just enhances my mood even more. Tea has been proven to contain strong antioxidants which can even slow down or rid of cancer cells. Tea also contains amino acids and vitamins E and C, which help the immune system, cell-restoration, and even the quality of your skin and senses. It is the bud or dried leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant, which are brewed with hot water. Tea comes in six different forms! White, Oolong, Black, Green, Yellow, and Pu-erh all hold differernt natural benefits and flavors. An amazing quality of tea is it can also be infused with flowers, herbs, and other plants to alter the flavor.
Tea, brewed by the cup, has significantly less caffeine than coffee, but still speeds up the metabolism and helps the digestive system. It also regulates blood circulation to the brain, which can improve memory and clarity of cognition. Tea has been used since before 200 B.C., so it has been well-researched and experimented with for health qualities and a delicious beverage, unlike the relatively new soda-pop, and many modified beverages!
Tea is an inexpensive but wholly beneficial drink that people all over the world can enjoy.
If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth and beauty. ~Japanese Proverb
