My Altar

My altar is for the “little kid in me.” This is my teddy bear “Milo”, whom I have had since I was ten and my blanket (bankee) which I have had since I was three also my pillow, (I don’t know how long I have had that but its been a while.)It used to be that I could not go anywhere with out my blanket or Milo, as in I was a complete wreck with out it - those habits die-hard.

When I was packing up to move from my home to my dorm my father packed Milo into my carry-on bag without my knowledge. It had been many years since I had been so attached to him that I had forgotten how my faith as a child had changed over the years. I was told when I was a freshman that I had a child like faith in people in things. This altar is about my reliance on my childlike faith. It references the safety that I had in these three objects that I know have in very few people.
